 JAZZ GOSPEL WORSHIP SERVICE - SUNDAY AT 10:30am

How about jazz?!  How about a toe-tapping, faith-flipping, soul stirring experience of God’s grace? 

That’s what we have every week, at 10:30 a.m.., in worship, at FCC.  It’s a Jazz and Gospel Service and it revolves around the amazing talents of a jazz sextet – six local musicians whose love and spirit are transparent and transforming.  If you’ve yet to see them,  yet to hear them do their thing, you’ve got to check them out!  They are, quite simply, amazing!

This service offers a new take on progressive Christian faith.  We find that the God of love encourages laughter, movement, even a little dancing now and then.  We find the Jesus meets us in all of this – and shows us a path marked by compassion, justice, forgiveness and joy. We do a whole lot of singing.  We listen for stories of hope, encouragement and consolation.  And we gather around a table, all of us, for a feast.

In communion, we celebrate the Jesus who draws no boundaries, the Jesus who invites all to the feast of life, the Jesus who dares us to love the world with his own fearlessness and passion.  We are young and old, gay and straight, men and women, broken and healing.  And we feed one another as we give thanks for Jesus’ own life among us. Join us, for this service, as we tap and sing and dance and share. The kingdom of heaven is among us!
