Stewardship Stories

What does Stewardship mean to you?

Stewardship means “taking care of.” Stewardship season gives us the opportunity to reflect on taking care of this church we love and keeping its presence vibrant in our community. Making a monetary commitment, no matter what the size, is a statement of what you value. Giving of your time and talent helps all the many jobs get done in our church, so that no one is overburdened with responsibility.

Here are just a few of the programs and ministries that will grow and flourish in 2010/2011, with your new or continued gifts of time, talent, and treasure:
• Hiring a new “settled” Associate Minister who will build on the momentum of the Children and Family Ministry team.
• Maintaining our dynamic music programs in celebration and jazz services
• Expanding programs of adult Christian education
• Maintaining our missions to the community through outreach and extravagant welcome
• Affirming our agenda of progressive social justice through participation in COPA

Won’t you do your part? When a member of the church leadership teams asks you to meet for coffee and conversation, take that opportunity to reflect on what FCC means to you and to all of us. Complete and return your pledge card envelope to the church leader who contacts you, by mail, or in person on Consecration Sunday. Have a question?
