ALL KINDS OF FAMILIES

From All Walks of Life

Love is the heart, the soul, the all of Jesus' message.  We're trying to embrace that message in every part of our lives: in private and family life, in public life and political commitment, at work and at play.  Families matter!  And we arrive in all kinds of family configurations.  The important thing is to take Jesus' teaching home: to our partners and spouses, to our small children and growing teens.  The important thing is to build our families around love and compassion.

So FCC welcomes, embraces and nurtures all kinds of families, from all walks of life.  Single parents are welcome and find encouragement and friendship.  Sometimes one partner finds church meaningful; the other doesn't and stays home.  Gay couples experience the blessing and grace of community at FCC.  And heterosexual parents do too.  All kinds of families, from all walks of life.

The miracle is that God takes our many strands, our many colors, our many ways of loving--and weaves them all into a single community of light.  We grow in respect for our differences.  We learn to support one another, to pray for one another.  We develop deep ties with kids in other families, learning to share the wonder and the responsibility of raising spiritually mature children.

Are you looking for a dynamic community, a safe place, a nurturing spiritual home for your family?  Do you have questions about how welcoming FCC really is?  Whether it's a good fit for your children and for you?  We welcome your questions and your seeking.  Give Cordelia Strandskov a call or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
